Grading Scale

Percentage Grades are used to evaluate students. Percentage Grades appear on report cards that are issued every six weeks, permanent records, and transcripts. GPA is computed on an unweighted 4.0 scale. Grades of 69 or lower are considered failing. The following GPA standards must be met for graduating seniors to receive the honors listed:

Summa Cum Laude: 3.90-4.0
Magna Cum Laude: 3.75-3.89
Cum Laude: 3.50-3.74

98-100: 4.0




 80-82:  3.0
93-97:  3.9




 78-79:  2.5
90-92:  3.7




 73-77:  2.3
88-89:  3.5



 70-72:  2.0
83-87:  3.3




 69 or lower:  0.0
