ANDREA CASE

Head of School

Andrea Case holds a BA in English and Secondary Education with a minor in French from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS, and a Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE) from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. With 43 years of experience in education, she has dedicated the last 25.5 years of her career to serving at Baytown Christian Academy, first as a classroom teacher and now as the Academic Dean and one of BCA’s Lee College adjunct professors in the dual credit program.

Andrea's educational philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child is endowed with unique, God-given talents and abilities. As a school administrator, she sees it as her mission to guide and facilitate their success in an increasingly challenging world. Her favorite Bible verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, encapsulates her approach: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Since 1989, Andrea has been a dedicated Christ-follower, striving daily to serve Jesus Christ to the best of her ability in every aspect of her life. This includes her family, colleagues, and the students at Baytown Christian Academy, all of whom are central to her world. She firmly believes that God has His hand on Baytown Christian Academy and its community, and she feels blessed to be part of His greater plan, both within the school and beyond. Andrea is delighted to walk alongside others in her faith journey, trusting God to guide her as she impacts the lives of those around her.

On a personal note, Andrea is an active member at Old River Baptist Church and will soon celebrate her 45th wedding anniversary. She has three happily married and successful adult children, all BCA alumni, and nine wonderful grandchildren.

BARBARA ELLIOTT

Grammar Director 

Mrs. Barbara Elliott was born in Oklahoma but has lived in Texas since 1988. She is married and has three children; two sons and a daughter who have all graduated from Baytown Christian Academy. 

She and her family are faithful members of Community Baptist Church in Crosby, Texas, where they actively serve the Lord as music ministers, Praise Band members, and Sunday school teachers. She graduated from OSU Technical School with her automotive degree and Oklahoma State University with her education degree. She has been a Christian educator since 1993, serving as both teacher and principal at two Christian schools in the Channelview and Baytown area. She has been with Baytown Christian Academy since 2012.  

She loves the Lord and has a deep desire for each of her students to know Him and love Him also! Her favorite Bible scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6.

FREDDIE SANTOS

IT, Facilities Coordinator 

Freddie joined BCA staff in 2022 and was a parent volunteer for 8 years. As a parent volunteer, he was the visionary and catalyst for the BCA Science lab, Network upgrade, phone system upgrade and Chromebooks programming and deployment. He has twin daughters that are currently in high school that have been students at BCA since their 1st grade year. Freddie is a member of St John of the Catholic Church in New Caney, TX where he serves as the longest serving Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus council #13166 and serves as the KofC 4th Degree Faithful Navigator for Assembly 2517. He is also a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and is a Committeeman for the Tours Committee where he has been volunteering since 2014. When not in school, Freddie volunteers as the Confirmation Catechist for St John of The Cross Catholic Church and serves as the President of his company, which focuses on Technology and Chemistry. Freddie received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from Baylor University and Professional Master’s Degree in Applied Chemical Sciences from Rice University.

WILLIAM HILL

Athletic Director

William Hill brings over 26 years of experience as an educator and coach to his role as Athletic Director at Baytown Christian Academy. A respected leader in Texas high school athletics, William has built a reputation for excellence in coaching across multiple sports while fostering a commitment to student-athlete development, discipline, and character building.

Throughout his career, William has established strong, collaborative relationships with fellow coaches, athletes, and school administrators. His leadership approach emphasizes teamwork, shared goals, and mutual respect, enabling coaching staff to work together effectively and inspiring athletes to achieve their highest potential. This collaborative spirit has been integral to the success of his programs, both on the field and in the classroom.

William’s coaching accomplishments include being named Girls Coach of the Year by the Victoria Advocate newspaper in 2023, following a season in which he led the Girls TAPPS 2A team to a state championship. In addition, he guided the TAPPS 2A Football team to a State Runner-up finish in 2019 and helped them reach the 2024 TAPPS 2A State Football Semi-Finals, further cementing his legacy as a top-tier coach and mentor.

As Athletic Director, William is dedicated to advancing the academy’s athletic programs while fostering a Christ-centered environment for student-athletes. He is committed to creating opportunities that allow athletes to grow spiritually, academically, and athletically, with a focus on integrity, teamwork, and excellence.

LEAH DUTHU

Office Manager

Mrs. Leah Duthu is on her fourth- year at BCA and teaching in Texas. She relocated to Texas from South Louisiana for her husband to open a business in Houston. She felt that God had called her back to the classroom to teach at BCA and eventually bring her children into the environment with her. Leah has been teaching for almost ten years in the public school system and has tutored and taught in the homeschool setting. Leah has a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education and a Master’s in Educational Leadership (K-12) from Louisiana College University. Leah and her family are members of Faith Family Church in Baytown and she currently serves on the Kids Team. She and her husband have three children, Avery, Elijah, and Audrey. Her days are filled to the brim with cheer, soccer, cub scouts, and church, but in her free time, she enjoys cooking and learning how to garden.

ERICA DUFRENE

Registrar, International Student Coordinator, Attendance Clerk, Notary

Mrs. Erica Dufrene was born in South Louisiana and moved to Texas 4 years ago. She is married and has 5 children; two sons and three daughters.  She has a son who is actively serving in the military, she also has 3 little ones at BCA. She has an Associate’s degree in General Studies with a concentration in accounting.

“When I am not in the front office, I enjoy heading out to enjoy time with my husband and kids. We are very active in our Church, Rolling brook Fellowship. I also enjoy watching my daughter Dance on the weekends at competitions, enjoying the view from my back porch, taking vacations and volunteering with anything I can.”

Mrs. Dufrene is so excited to be a part of the BCA family. “I love all the kids, parents, and my co-workers here; working here is like winning the lottery.”

CHARITY DELGADO

Receptionist, PCA

Mrs. Charity Delgado was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is a proud wife and mother to her son, Emmett, who also attends BCA. Mrs. Delgado holds her PCA certification and is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education. Her passion for working with children and families continues to inspire her as she works toward her goal of furthering her career in education.

Outside of BCA, Mrs. Delgado enjoys spending quality time with her husband and son, being surrounded by her family, and staying active. Working out is one of her favorite hobbies and something she is truly passionate about. Most of all, she enjoys making memories with the people she loves and appreciating all that life has to offer.

Mrs. Delgado is grateful to be part of the BCA family and loves having the opportunity to work with students, parents, and her fellow staff members. She looks forward to continuing to grow, serve, and make a positive impact within the BCA community.

I was born in Houston, Texas, and raised right here in Baytown, Texas. I have over 25 years of experience working with and caring for children, and I truly have a passion for helping young minds learn, grow, and thrive.

I am also a proud mother of two amazing college students, who are truly the best part of me. Being a mom has been one of the greatest blessings in my life and has deepened my love for nurturing, encouraging, and guiding children.

JUDYTH GARCIA 

Pre-K 4 Co-Teacher

Over the past three years, Judyth Garcia has discovered her true calling in working with children, nurturing young minds, and watching them grow and flourish. As a mother of two wonderful children, her experiences as a parent have greatly influenced her approach as an educator and taught her the importance of grace, patience, and unconditional support.

Four years ago, Judyth began a life-changing spiritual journey that further strengthened her dedication to serving others with compassion and integrity. She is passionate about creating a warm, joyful, and welcoming environment where every child feels supported and encouraged. Judyth looks forward to helping each student learn, grow, build confidence, and thrive every day.

ASHTON WHITE

Kindergarten

With over 13 years of educational experience, Mrs. White holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and is certified to teach K-6th grade. She also holds a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Le Tourneau University. Mrs. White started her teaching career as a Reading Specialist in Goose Creek for six years and landed her Kindergarten “dream job” here at BCA. Mrs. White enjoys watching the University of Texas softball team and traveling with her husband and their 11-year-old daughter, Brynn. 

 

“I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development- academic, social, and motor- is a challenge that I am honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive and fun environment.”

KATIE ORMSBY

First Grade

​Katie Ormsby, is a Baytown native who is proud to be serving the Lord at Baytown Christian Academy. This is her 14th year at BCA teaching first grade and her 21st year in a classroom. She is married to the love of her life, Branden Ormsby, of Baytown, TX. She met him while attending Baytown’s own Robert E Lee High, connected with him while at Baytown’s Lee College, and promptly married him as soon as she was able to achieve her teaching degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. “There is not another school on the planet where I would rather be. Bringing children to Jesus while sharing His word and world with them is what I feel I was anointed to do.”

JESSICA KELLEY

Second Grade 

Jessica Reuter-Kelley is thrilled to be part of the Baytown Christian Academy community as a 2nd grade teacher. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston-Downtown and brings 15 years of experience teaching 2nd grade in Christian schools.

For Jessica, teaching is more than a profession—it is a calling. With the Lord’s guidance, she is passionate about nurturing young minds, encouraging each child’s unique gifts, and fostering a genuine love for learning.

Outside of the classroom, Jessica enjoys baking and spending quality time with her family on their farm, where they gather for weekly Sunday dinners. She has been married for six years, and she and her husband share their home with their rescue Chihuahua, Toby. Together, they enjoy vacations, long drives, and making memories as a family.

Jessica feels honored to be part of the BCA community and looks forward to partnering with families and making a positive impact on each child’s educational journey.

MACIE COOPER

Third Grade

Macie Cooper was born and raised in Liberty, Texas, and comes from a close-knit family that has always played an important role in her life. Growing up, she developed a love for children, serving others, and being involved in her church. Her faith and family have greatly influenced who she is today and the kind of teacher she strives to be.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in EC–6 Education from the University of Houston–Clear Lake in 2026 and has experience working with children in several educational settings, including preschool teaching, substitute teaching, and elementary classrooms. She has also served as a Sunday School teacher in her church since 2019. Her love for teaching comes from a desire to help children grow academically while also developing confidence, strong character, and a love for God.

Outside of school, Ms. Cooper is actively involved at her church, Praise Tabernacle in Dayton, where she serves in children’s ministry and on the praise team. She enjoys photography, traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family.

Ms.Cooper believes every child has unique, God-given abilities and strives to create a classroom where her students feel loved, encouraged, and excited to learn. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 43:2, which reminds her of God’s faithfulness and presence through every season of life.

ASHAYLA THOMAS

Fourth Grade

Ashayla Thomas is a Baytown native, who has been teaching at BCA for the past four years. She is the 3rd/4th/5th grade English Language Arts teacher. A graduate of McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, she holds a degree in Psychology and Mass Communication. Currently, she is furthering her education by pursuing a Master’s degree in Counseling at Grand Canyon University.

 

Ashayla’s passion for working with children shines through in her teaching, and she feels blessed to be part of the BCA family. Having attended private school herself, she appreciates working in a setting where students are eager to engage with God's Word. Outside the classroom, she also serves as the coach for the BCA Cheerleading program.

MACKAYLA THOMAS

Fifth Grade

Mackayla Thomas is a Baytown-area native and has had the privilege of teaching at Baytown Christian Academy for the past six years. She currently serves as the 4th and 5th-grade teacher, where she teaches Math and Science and has the joy of walking alongside her students as they learn, grow, and discover their God-given abilities. For Mackayla, teaching is about more than academics. It is an opportunity to build relationships with her students, encourage them, and help them grow both in and outside of the classroom.

Mackayla earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Mass Communication from McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and later earned her Master’s degree in Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Her background in both psychology and education has deepened her passion for understanding and supporting students as individuals. She considers it a blessing to be able to combine her love for education, children, and Christ-centered learning in the classroom each day.

SHEILA BRYANT

Art

 

Ms. Bryant is thrilled to be serving as the Gammer Art Teacher this year, as well as continuing to substitute teach at Baytown Christian Academy. She cares deeply about each and every one of our students, and helping them express their creativity in the classroom brings her so much joy.

Before coming to BCA, she enjoyed a career with PWC where she handled purchasing for the company. After studying at San Jacinto College and Lamar University,she transitioned into the corporate world before finding her calling through education.  She first began substitute teaching while raising her two children, Christina and Derrick (BCA alumni class 2008).

“BCA holds a special place in my heart, not just as an educator, but as a family member.  I am a proud “Omi” to three wonderful grandchildren who all attend BCA.” 

Outside of school, She spends time with her grandbabies, and she loves keeping up with all their activities.

Her hobbies include traveling, swimming, camping, watching football, and going to concerts.  

Her favorite bible verse is Phillipians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.  “I am guided by my unwavering faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.  My deepest joy is the privilege of sharing his message of grace and love with my students, aiming to be a reflection of His light in their lives every day.”

ERYNN MORRIS

Music 

​Erynn Morris is the grammar music teacher, as well as junior high choir and bible. Erynn graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2007 with a bachelors in liberal arts music degree with EC-12 teacher certification. Aside from teaching here at BCA, Mrs. Morris also runs a small business teaching private lessons, Kindermusik, and other music classes. Erynn and her husband Jesse have 6 kids between the two of them, five girls and one boy, plus 2 dogs, and a cat. At her home church, Second Baytown, Mrs. Morris serves in the children’s ministry and she and her husband are about to launch a new small group as well. She has been involved in several musicals and plays at the Baytown Little Theater and has started a combined Christian school’s honor choir that meets once a week here at BCA. She loves what she does and hopes to be a Christ like example to her students and others.

MICHELLE ODOMS

PE Coach 

Mrs. Odoms teaches Elementary PE. This is her first year at BCA, but she has been teaching for 12 years. She loves being active and teaching students the importance of keeping their bodies strong and healthy. She attended Sam Houston State University and received a Bachelor’s degree before obtaining her teaching certification from Texas Teachers. When she isn’t in the classroom/gym, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Artie, and their two children, Emma (14) and Juan (22). They enjoy being outdoors and cruising.

Junior High ELA

Mrs. Libby Noble teaches Jr High and High School. This is her 6th year at BCA. She graduated from Grand Canyon University with a B.S. in Psychology and then went on to get her teaching certification from Teachers of Tomorrow. Her favorite subject to teach is ELA. When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, and traveling.

CRAIG GROSS

Junior High History

 

Craig Gross began teaching at BCA in the 2022 Spring Semester. He has
27 years of experience in Christian education teaching the following:
Bible, US and Texas history, government, and ELA. He and his wife have
also served as children’s pastors, pre-teen pastors, and associate
pastors. He holds ministry credentials through the General Council of
the Assemblies of God.
Craig grew up in Baytown and graduated from Ross S. Sterling in 1985.
He attended Lee College as well. He graduated from Rhema Bible
Training Center and has attended Southern New Hampshire University.
He is currently attending Global University for his ordination and
pastoral counselling classes.
He and his wife Cindy have been married for 32 years. They have one
son, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters. They are enjoying
being Nana and Pawpaw.

teaching history and helping students discover who they are in Christ
Jesus and His amazing plan and purpose for each of them."

STEPHEN HERRING

Junior High Math

Stephen (Steve) Herring teaches 7th and 8th grade.  This will be his fourth stint at BCA teaching 4th to 8th grades.  He worships at Second Baptist Baytown where he volunteers in the children’s ministry.  After retiring from public schools where he was a teacher and principal, he started at BCA as a 5th grade teacher and has taught math from 4th to 8th grade.  Mr. Herring holds Texas certifications in 1st-8th grades and education administration.  He attended the University of Alabama (BA) and Texas A&M-CC (MS).  Mr. Herring has been a foster and adoptive parent, and his son, Jerry and wife Kristel have two children, Alyssa and Garrett.

COURTNEY TRIVEDI

8th Grade Science, Biology l, English l.

Mrs. Trivedi graduatedw from Texas A&M University.

Courtney Trivedi is in her first year teaching at BCA, with this being her fourth year teaching. She was born and raised in Baytown and graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's in education in 2021. Courtney and her husband, Darren, are members of Second Baytown, where she serves in children's ministry. In her free time, Courtney enjoys playing video games, singing, writing, and spending time with her family. She is blessed to be a part of the BCA team and eager to help students grow in their faith.

LINDA FLYNT

Junior High and High School Science

Linda Flynt was born in Baytown and grew up in Cove, but has lived most of her life in Baytown, Texas.  She is married to Gary Flynt, and they have two sons who attended BCA.  The Flynt family has attended Second Baptist Church in Baytown for 29 years.  While attending Lee College, Linda was a Southern Baptist Mission Board missionary.  She was a TA in the chemistry department and served on the executive board of the BSU.  She then earned her BS in Marine Biology from Texas A&M at Galveston (“Sea Aggies”) where she also went on a mission trip.  After graduation, she worked as a consultant in an EPA and TRNC testing facility, Research and Development for ExxonMobil, taught three years at BCA, then stayed home to raise and homeschool their two boys for seven years.  She came back to teach and brought their boys with her to attend BCA in 2015.  She has taught in Sunday School for College and Career as well as High School, children's programs, Summer Bash, and Cub/Boy Scouts within the last 20
+ years. Linda also led her homeschool group in dissections to enrich their curriculum.  She loves her students as if they are her children, and she has a passion for God and encourages them to be who God wants them to be; we ALL have a purpose.  She loves science and enjoys watching for the “light bulb moment”.  She teaches junior high and high school sciences.  

She chose BCA because it allows her to teach any subject from the standpoint of a Christian, which was a must for her children's education. BCA is small and allows for a low student-to-teacher ratio, while being a big family.  When one is down, we all help in picking them up.  We study hard, play hard, and love a lot!

ANGELICA FUENTES

Junior High and High School Spanish

​Angelica Fuentes teaches Junior and High School Spanish. This is her 3rd year with BCA. She graduated from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Counseling. Since then, she has worked as a Social Worker for several non-profits. She is passionate about helping others and serving her community. She is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have 3 beautiful little girls. She enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, and working out. She is thankful for BCA and the ability to be able to share Gods love with each of her students.

CLARENCE FRANK

Junior High and High school Orchestra, High School Bible.

Clarence Frank was born and raised in Baytown, TX, and graduated from Sterling High School in 1994.  He attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA, earning a Bachelor of Music Education in 2000.  After graduating college, he began his teaching career in Goose Creek School district as an Orchestra Director.  After teaching for a while, he decided to pursue a higher education degree.  He received his Master of Music in Instrumental Conducting from Sam Houston State University in 2019.  He is now in his 6th year at BCA teaching 8th grade Bible class and middle school and high school orchestra.  In addition to teaching at BCA, Mr. Frank keeps an extremely active schedule by also being the music director and conductor of the Baytown Symphony Orchestra and the Southeast Texas Choral Society.  Additionally, Mr. Frank is very active in his church, Old River Baptist Church, serving as the Interim Worship leader.  “God has called me into service in many different areas.  I embrace each one as a true blessing and with joy in my heart.”

MARA PAYTON

Junior High and High School Art

Mara Payton is on her 6th year as a BCA bulldog! She has lived most of her life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but moved to the Baytown area shortly after getting married to her high school sweet heart in 2018. She has her B.A. In visual arts with a concentration in photography from SELU. In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, watching LSU athletics, helping her husband in ministry, traveling, trying new foods and spending time with their pups. Mrs. Payton and her husband are also pursuing the exciting journey of adopting their first baby. “Jesus saved me in my youth and I believe God has me right where He wants me to share His love and serve the students at BCA.”

STEFFANI CAPPS

Junior High Social Studies and High School English 

After a two-and-a-half-year hiatus due to family obligations, Ms. Capps is thrilled to return to Baytown Christian Academy. She is incredibly grateful for the warm welcome she has received from the BCA family and is excited to once again be surrounded by the students, teachers, friends, and heartwarming atmosphere she missed so much.

 

Born and raised in Baytown, Ms. Capps graduated from Robert E. Lee High School before attending Lee College for two years while living at home and working part-time. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and her Master of Science in Educational Technology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

 

With more than 30 years of teaching experience, she retired from Goose Creek CISD in 2019. English Language Arts and Social Studies are two of her favorite subjects to teach, and she is excited to have the opportunity to teach both this school year.

 

She considers it a true blessing to continue sharing her passion for education while also sharing her love for Jesus Christ with the amazing students at BCA. She is grateful to be back and looks forward to another wonderful year of learning, growing, and making lasting memories with the BCA family.

JAMES KINGSMILL

High School English Language Arts

James Kingsmill was born and raised in Baytown and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. He attended Lee College before earning a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications/Mass Media with a minor in Creative Writing from Houston Baptist University. He later received his Master of Education in Secondary Education Curriculum and Instruction from Houston Baptist University.

After a 30-year career in public education, Mr. Kingsmill retired from teaching in May 2026. During his teaching career, he primarily taught high school English, Speech, and Debate. As a debate coach, his students achieved success at the district, regional, and state levels, with many also qualifying to compete at national tournaments. His dedication to speech and debate earned him three honors from the National Speech and Debate Association: the Donus Roberts Quad Ruby Coaching Award, the Diamond Key Coaching Award, and the Donus Roberts Gold Key Distinguished Service Award.

Mr. Kingsmill is also an author and enjoys writing in his spare time. He has published his first fiction novel, At the Top of the Lighthouse, and currently has several additional works in progress. His love of writing and literature continues to be an important part of his life and his passion for education.

Mr. Kingsmill has been married to his wife, Deborah, for more than 30 years. They have a grown son, Jacob. Outside of school and writing, the Kingsmill family are avid Walt Disney World and Disneyland fans and enjoy spending time together and making memories at the parks.

ANITA GRAY

High School Math

Anita Gray joined the BCA team in 2023. She teacher Honors Geometry, Honors Algebra 2, PreCalculus, Calculus and Statistics. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Math from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. She has a 30 plus year career as a teacher, substitute teacher and private tutor. For most of her career, she taught at her alma mater, Barbers Hill High School.

 

Mrs. Gray and her husband Farley attend Mercy Gate church. Farley sings and plays drums while Anita serves on the AVL (audio visual) team. She operates and is a trainer for propresenter and lighting. She also operates the cameras and engineer stations. Together, the Grays have 6 kids, 2 grandchildren and 5 dogs.

KIM HARRIS 

High School Social Studies

Kim Harris is thrilled to be a part of the Baytown Christian Academy family! She holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston- Downtown,
where she graduated summa cum laude.
This will be Kim’s fourth year teaching in a Christian school, and she has a true passion for teaching, learning, sharing her faith, and all things history! She loves creating an
environment where students can learn, asl
questions, discover new things, and grow both
academically and personally.
Outside of the classroom, Kim is married to
her husband and is a proud mother of four children. She is truly honored to be a part of BCA and is looking forward to a wonderful year
learning, growth, and making meaningful
memories with her students.

LASHAY GROENDYKE

Psychology of Communication

Mrs. LaShay Groendyke is excited to teach Psychology of Communication at BCA!

She earned her Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Lamar University in Marriage and Family Counseling, and she loves being able to bring her counseling background into the classroom. One of her favorite things about teaching this course is helping students understand why we communicate the way we do, how our emotions and experiences influence our interactions, and how strong communication skills can make a difference in everyday life.

BCA is especially meaningful to her because her family has been part of this community for many years. All three of her children have attended BCA—two have graduated, and one is currently enrolled. Because of that, she has had the unique opportunity to experience BCA from more than one perspective, which makes being part of the staff even more special.

Outside of the classroom, she loves traveling whenever she gets the chance, spending time with my family, and making memories with the people she loves. She enjoys learning about people, relationships, and what makes us all a little different—which is probably why Psychology of Communication is such a perfect fit for her!

"I’m looking forward to getting to know my students, sharing plenty of real-life examples, having some great conversations, and hopefully giving them communication skills they’ll continue using long after they leave my classroom."

NATHAN MENEFEE

High School Bible, SAT Prep and Speech

Nathan Menefee joined the faculty of BCA in the fall of 2011.

He graduated from Houston Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity and Biblical Languages. He later completed a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Dallas Baptist University. 

He has served in multiple churches as an associate pastor, lead pastor, assistant pastor, and interim pastor. Nathan served the community of La Porte as a police chaplain for 8 years.

JANINE ARMSTRONG

High School Digital CSI

Mrs. Armstrong is thrilled to return to Baytown Christian Academy to launch and teach BCA’s very first Digital CSI course. With 25 years of professional IT experience and multiple industry certifications, she brings a deep passion for technology and hands-on digital problem-solving into the classroom. Her history with BCA runs deep—when the Main Street campus first opened, she managed the servers and technology infrastructure across all sites. Now back in the classroom, she is so excited to share her real-world expertise, inspiring the next generation of students to master forensic analysis, digital investigation, and the ever-evolving world of technology.

SUE CANNARIATO

College and High School Credit (English)

​Sue Cannariato is a veteran public-school teacher of 45 years, she believes Baytown Christian Academy is her reward. She has taught every grade and level from sixth grade to college, including dual credit and on campus, in both Texas and Illinois. “At BCA I enjoy preparing my juniors and seniors for the next stage of their lives, setting the standards for future success, both as a student and a Christian.”

MELANIE STOCKWELL

First Grade Support

Mrs. Stockwell is a Christian woman, loving wife, and proud mother of three adult children, as well as a grandmother to one beautiful granddaughter. She is blessed to serve as a 1st Grade Teacher’s Aide at Baytown Christian Academy, where she enjoys helping students learn, grow, and build confidence. She has a heart for encouraging others and loves making a positive difference in the lives of those around her. She is grateful for every opportunity God gives her to serve, support, and encourage her students, coworkers, family, and community.

CRYSTAL JESPERSEN

Second Grade Support 

Mrs. Crystal Jespersen is Mrs. Kelley's 2nd grade teacher's aide. She has been a part of the BCA family since 2018, is married and has a son and daughter. Her son has been attending BCA since Kindergarten and she has been a substitute teacher for 16 plus years and has also served in the lunch room. She earned her Accociates in Small Business from San Jacinto College. On her free time she loves spending time with her family, attending church, trying new restaurants, and traveling.

GRACEANN BISHOP

Extended Care Director 

GraceAnn Bishop is a committed professional with passion for both caring for students and sharing her creative skills in design. Since the 2019-2020 school year, she has been making a positive impact in the Extended Care Program. In 2021, she took the role of Extended Care Director. GraceAnn is currently pursuing a major in Graphic Design through Arizona State University’s online program. Her dedication to a loving environment for students, combined with her artistic talents, makes her a versatile and positive leader.

MOLLIE PARROTT

Extended Care, Food Services

 

Mollie Parrott began working in Extended Care Program since the 2023-2024 school year and quickly fell in love with helping and caring for the children. Since  2015 has worked in various kids ministry roles, from helping in nursery to being a district KidMin admin for various kid ministry events and serving weekly along side the Next Gen team at her local church. She is passionate about children learning the love of Christ and believes there is no child too young to know the goodness of God and can be used by the Lord. She is excited to see all God has in store for both her life and the lives of the children all around her.

BRADLEY MOON

Security

Bradley Moon is a native Texan. He was born and grew up in Bryan, attending Bryan
Public Schools. He moved to Chambers County in 1976, following his family’s move.
Working in the construction field for many years, he seized an opportunity to go into
Law Enforcement, a lifelong ambition. Mr. Moon has an Associate of Arts degree in
Criminal Justice from San Jacinto College and holds a Master Peace Officer license. He and his wife of 38 years, Della, reside in Hankamer, Texas where he is currently serving as the duly elected Precinct 5 Constable as well as assuming duties as the BCA SRO. Mr. Moon has been a law enforcement officer for over 35 years. Mr. and Mrs. Moon have three grown children, 9 grown grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. When not
at work, Mr. Moon enjoys spending time with his wife and family, friends, and the
outdoors.

SANDRINE FLAVIEN

Food Services Director 

Mrs. Sandrine Flavien started working at BCA about 3 years ago. She was a stay-at-home mom of 5 children, a boy and 4 girls. They are now older, her last one being a senior this year. “Being around the students here daily brings me a lot of joy. They are all great kids.”

She was born and raised in France and first came into the United States as an exchange student. She loves traveling as well as camping!

MARIANA SOLIS

Food Services

Mariana Solis has been at BCA for 4 years. She enjoys the atmosphere and helping the students here at BCA. Mrs. Solis has been married to her husband for 25 years, having 3 daughters, 2 son in laws, and 4 grandkids! In her off time, she enjoys watching the Texans play and loves to explore different countries. “What I enjoy the most is spending time with my grandkids and watching them play sports!”

REGINA LEE 

Food Services 

Regina Lee is on her first year at BCA. She has 1 daughter in Junior High and 1 older son. Before BCA she stayed home with her daughter, and worked at a bank for 12 years. In her off time, she brings her daughter to dance, her daughter is on a competitive dance team. She enjoys spending time with family and shopping.
